Russian bowlers competing at official championships and tournaments (13.10.2009)

Since 1997 Russian Federation of Sports Bowling has arranged the participation of the Russian bowlers at all the main official tournaments and championships on tenpin bowling (FIQ/WTBA/ETBF). Thus, AMF World Cup in 1997 (Cairo, Egypt) became the official international start for Russians.
By the April 2009, Russian bowlers took part at more than 50 official tenpin bowling events, as follows:

-  Twice in World Championships  - 1999 (Abu Dhabi, UAE) and 2003 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia);
-  Twice in World Men Championships – 2006 (Busan, Korea), 2008 (Bangkok, Thailand)
- Once in Women World Championships – 2009 (Las Vegas, USA)
-  Once in European Championships – 2001 (Aalborg, Denmark);
-  Three in European Men’s Championships – 2005 (Moscow, Russia), 2007 (Vienna, Austria), 2009 (Aalborg, Denmark)
-  Three times in European Cup Teams – 2000 (Netanya, Israel), 2002 (Muelheim, Germany), 2004 (Norwich, England);
- Six time in European Cup Individuals;
- Ten times in European Gold Cups;
- Eleven times in QubicaAMF World Cups;
- Eight times in European Youth Championships – 2000 (Hoofddorp, the Netherlands), 2002 (Rome, Italy), 2004 (Augsburg, Germany), 2005 (Antwerp, Belgium), 2006 (Copenhagen, Denmark), 2007 (Thessaloniki, Greece), 2008 (Helsinki, Finland), 2009 (Malmoe, Sweden);
- Twice in European Youth Cups – 2001 (Berlin, Germany), 2003 (Schiedam, the Netherlands);
- Once in World Youth Games – 1998 (Moscow, Russia);
- Once in International sports youth games of CIS and Baltic countries – 2002 (Moscow, Russia);
- Four times in European Champions Cups - 2006 (Riga, Latvia), 2007 (Foetz, Luxemburg), 2008 (Duisburg, Germany), 2009 (Crete, Greece).

QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup moves to the French Riviera QubicaAMF has announced that the 46th Bowling World Cup will not be held in Zagreb, Croatia, but in Toulon, on the French Riviera, from October 15-24, 2010. Toulon lies on the western end of the Cote d'Azur on the Mediterranean.

President ETBF celebrated a true Silver Jubilee to day, Saturday 3 July 2010, since the President in ETBF, Addie Ophelders, was elected for his first term in the Presidium, in those days as Vice President, for precisely 25 years ago.


The results of the main Russia’s bowling tournaments (24.02.2010)

The results of the main Russia’s bowling tournaments Grand Final of the Russian Individual Bowling Championship (RIBC) and Team Championship was held in Saint-Peterburg at the 48-lanes bowling center Leader. Qualifying ran from Feb. 16 through Feb. 21 and ended with the ultimate finals on Feb. 22.

E. Tsarkova and G. Sidorov will represent Russia at 45th QubicaAMF World Cup Evgenia Tsarkova and Gennady Sidorov won the qualification tournament which has recently hold  in Ural’s Ekaterinburg and will have a chance to participate in 45th QubicaAMF World Cup in Melaka, Malaysia.


Russia’s triumph in Austria (17.07.2009)

Russia’s triumph in Austria For the second consecutive year, the World Sports Festival was held in Vienna, Austria, with the tenpin bowling events being contested at Brunswick Bowling Hernals. Russian bowlers captured 3 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals!
