Russian bowlers competing at official championships and tournaments (29.04.2009)
Since 1997 Russian Federation of Sports Bowling has arranged the participation of the Russian bowlers at all the main official tournaments and championships on tenpin bowling (FIQ/WTBA/ETBF). Thus, AMF World Cup in 1997 (Cairo, Egypt) became the official international start for Russians. By the April 2009, Russian bowlers took part at more than 50 official tenpin bowling events, as follows:
- Twice in World Championships - 1999 (Abu Dhabi, UAE) and 2003 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia); - Twice in World Men Championships – 2006 (Busan, Korea), 2008 (Bangkok, Thailand) - Once in European Championships – 2001 (Aalborg, Denmark); - Twice in European Men’s Championships – 2005 (Moscow, Russia) and 2007 (Vienna, Austria); - Tree times in European Cup Teams – 2000 (Netanya, Israel), 2002 (Muelheim, Germany), 2004 (Norwich, England); - Six time in European Cup Individuals; - Ten times in European Gold Cups; - Eleven times in QubicaAMF World Cups; - Eight times in European Youth Championships – 2000 (Hoofddorp, the Netherlands), 2002 (Rome, Italy), 2004 (Augsburg, Germany), 2005 (Antwerp, Belgium), 2006 (Copenhagen, Denmark), 2007 (Thessaloniki, Greece), 2008 (Helsinki, Finland), 2009 (Malmoe, Sweden); - Twice in European Youth Cups – 2001 (Berlin, Germany), 2003 (Schiedam, the Netherlands); - Once in World Youth Games – 1998 (Moscow, Russia); - Once in International sports youth games of CIS and Baltic countries – 2002 (Moscow, Russia); - Three times in European Champions Cups - 2006 (Riga, Latvia), 2007 (Foetz, Luxemburg), 2008 (Duisburg, Germany)
